The S1 250SS MKI was Kawasaki's small air-cooled two-stroke triple of the early 1970s, with a distinctive seat-and-tail fairing. Its 249 cc engine gave modest, peaky performance, and the bike relied on drum brakes and a basic chassis. A magazine reviewer found its power comparable to rival 250s of the period, but with higher internal friction and lower torque.
